Clear the Way for Surface 2

More good news for Microsoft fans and mobile workers—Microsoft announced the release of the Surface 2 tablet, coming to stores October 22.

The Surface 2 features a new Touch Cover allowing you to create touch gestures by swiping across keys, rather than the original pressure sensor beneath every button. Previous hardware issues have been resolved and better graphics plus longer battery life (10 hours!) improve the experience. The Surface 2 allows complete mobile productivity with Office 2013 RT. It also adds backlighting to the keyboard and a new dual-position kickstand gives you the perfect angle for working at your desk or in your lap.

A 32GB version runs $449 and 64GB version is available for $549. Both are available for preorder. But it sounds like they are selling out fast, so order soon.
